This drink celebrates the unparalleled taste of fruit straight off the tree. We lived in Germany for a while and had a couple cherry trees in our yard in Hamburg. When June came around and the cherries were ripe, I would climb up high in the branches to collect all the fruit I could get. I would then juice them and make cocktails for friends that we enjoyed outside in the warm twilight of the long summer evenings.
